The ALAS Foundation — Aviation, Learning, Access & Scholarships was created with one mission: to open doors to aviation and help the next generation see that a career in the skies is possible.

Through scholarships, mentorship, hands-on aviation experiences, career exposure, and community partnerships, we’re working to remove barriers and create meaningful pathways into aviation and aerospace.

This group is our place to connect, share opportunities, celebrate our scholars, support one another, and grow the ALAS community. Whether you're a student, parent, mentor, volunteer, aviation professional, supporter, or simply someone who believes in our mission—you belong here. ✈️

The Mentors & Mentees Lounge is a space for aspiring aviators to connect with professionals who have already walked the path—and for aviation professionals to pay it forward by sharing the knowledge, encouragement, and guidance they've gained along the way.

Ask questions. Share experiences. Celebrate milestones. Talk about training, careers, scholarships, interviews, setbacks, and everything in between. Most importantly, build genuine relationships.

To our mentees: No question is too small, and you don't have to have your entire journey figured out.

To our mentors: You never know which conversation, piece of advice, or introduction may change the trajectory of someone's future.

ALAS was built on the belief that access isn't only about opening the door—it's about having someone there to help you walk through it.

This is more than a group—it’s a place to connect, learn, grow, and find your path in aviation.

Aviation Scholars Connect was created for students and aspiring aviation professionals to connect with one another, learn from industry mentors, discover scholarships and career opportunities, and gain exposure to the many different paths aviation and aerospace have to offer.

Whether your dream is to become a pilot, air traffic controller, aircraft mechanic, drone operator, engineer, airport professional—or you're still figuring it out—you belong here.

Expect mentorship, aviation resources, scholarship opportunities, career advice, industry connections, events, and plenty of encouragement along the way.

The ALAS Aviation Volunteers Club brings together pilots, aviation professionals, educators, students, and community members who believe that access and mentorship can change the trajectory of a young person's life.

Our volunteers help us open doors to aviation through youth outreach, career exploration events, airport and industry tours, discovery flight opportunities, mentorship, STEM education, fundraising, and community events.

You don't have to be a pilot or work in aviation to make an impact. Whether you can volunteer at an event, mentor a student, share your career, help behind the scenes, or simply lend a hand when we need it—there's a place for you here.

ALAS was built on the idea of paying it forward, and I'm so excited to build a community of people who want to do exactly that.
